Katy Neaves

BA Hons, PGDipLA, MAUED, CMLI, AoU

Katy is uniquely positioned in her sector as a dual qualified urban designer and Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute. She has over twenty years’ experience within the private sector. Formerly a Director at arc, she has previously worked for Turley, Allen Pyke Associates, DLA Design Group and Babtie (now Babtie Jacobs).

Katy is a Recognised Practitioner of the Urban Design Group – formerly the Chair of the Urban Design Group - with an MA in Urban Environmental Design. She is a member of a number of Design Review Panels including the London Boroughs of Richmond upon Thames, Wandsworth and Sutton, and a member of the Academy of Urbanism, sub-chairing the Academy’s Street Awards Panel. She was formerly on the Committee for the South East branch of the Women in Property Group and helped coordinate their mentoring programme.

Katy’s areas of expertise include townscape and landscape character assessments and visual impact assessments. She has worked across a wide range of projects from tall buildings and high-density residential-led mixed use developments requiring an Environmental Impact Assessment to town centre regeneration, logistic centres and educational institutions.

Collaborators

Neaves Urbanism collaborates with a range of specialists who help us to deliver the best possible service to our clients. Together we are able to provide objective and informed judgements on matters concerning new design in sensitive contexts, including historic environments.

Liz Bryant

Liz is a chartered landscape architect with over ten years of experience in preparing both landscape and townscape visual impact assessments. She is able to act as an expert witness on landscape matters and advise on site feasibility and designated landscapes. 

Gareth Jones

Gareth has over twenty five years experience across the private and public sectors in the field of heritage and design. He has worked on a wide range of projects for large scale redevelopment proposals and tall buildings in central London, as well as schemes in historically sensitive environments and those affecting sensitive heritage assets including world heritage sites and highly grade listed buildings.

Geoff Noble

Geoff is a historic environment and urban design consultant.  He has more than thirty years experience across the private and public sectors and was formerly English Heritage’s Deputy Director for London.

Graeme Ives

Graeme has gained over thirty years of heritage, planning and urban design experience in both the private and public sectors including a senior role at Historic England. He is able to provide credible advice through his understanding of legislation and policy along with his knowledge of architectural history and urban design.
